“If people can see you doing something active on stage, they’re going to get more into it because they are going to see your passion and your connection with that song, versus if you’re strictly DJ-ing, you’re not going to get that connection. They both have their benefits, but we (him and the rest of the Super Shagadelic Tour artists) enjoy seeing music coming together. Everybody on the tour agrees that it’s more entertaining to watch and for the crowd to see.”

“I enjoy smaller shows because of the intimacy of them, but Shambala was so fucking cool because they had extra performances on stage while I was performing like dancers and at Lightning in a Bottle they had people painting on stage. I really enjoy shows like that because the extra performances while I’m performing augment the scene. ”

“I would love to be able to hear a huge spectrum. Our [human] hearing cuts off at 20 kilohertz, and I would love to be able to hear up to 40 kilohertz because there’s so much that we can’t hear that I wish I could just hear anything. As a musician, I’m always trying to hear new sounds, so that would be fucking sweet.”
